At their annual Destination PlayStation event for retailers, Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) announced new PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable hardware bundles.
The PS3 bundle will include an 80GB PS3, the upcoming title Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots and a DualShock 3 wireless controller for $499 CDN (MSRP). It's expected to ship in early June, alongside the regular release of Konami's highly anticipated game.
The "God of War PSP Entertainment Pack" features a new "deep red" console with Kratos silkscreened on the back. The bundle will also include a copy of God of War: Chains of Olympus, as well as the movie Superbad on Universal Media Disc, and a PlayStation Network voucher to download Syphon Filter: Combat Ops from the PlayStation Store for free. The PSP bundle will be available this June for $199 CDN (MSRP), and the regular release of God of War: Chains of Olympus is on on March 4.
SCEA also announced the upcoming availability of the DualShock 3 wireless controller in April for $54.95 CDN. The added rumble feature will currently work with over 100 PS3 titles. |
